Job Summary
Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room by prioritizing age-specific interventions and maintaining patient safety. Document accurate, concise, and legible medical records while observing and recording signs, symptoms, and physiological status. Collect laboratory samples, perform testing per CLIA regulations, and assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures. Follow physician orders, adhere to infection control protocols, and manage admission, discharge, and transfer processes. Maintain patient privacy and participate in quality assessment activities and staff meetings. Requires Associate's degree, current RN licensure, and 2+ years ER experience; 7A-7P day shift with $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- ENPC certification from ENA (substituted for PALS)
- Fluency in English
- Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years
- Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- TNCC certification
Additional Requirements
- Pennsylvania Candidates must complete Act 33 and Act 73 clearances prior to start date
