Job Summary
Administer patient care and special procedures in the ER while assessing clients and implementing their plans of care. Distribute and document medications, including narcotics, and delegate tasks safely to others within the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act. Respond to emergency situations, observe signs and symptoms, and report changes to physicians or health professionals. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure infection control practices, and provide clinical supervision to CNAs and LPNs. Handle difficult situations discreetly while adhering to safety standards and Avem Health Partners policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Current RN license issued by the State of Oklahoma Board of Nursing
- Current BLS (or obtained within 30 day of hire)
- Current ACLS (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Current PALS (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Two (2) years of full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Constant standing and walking is required
- Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and tugging is required
- Individual must have the physical strength and agility position patients for all evaluations and procedures
- HRSA - Nurse Corps eligible
- HRSA - STAR Program eligible
