ER Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Summary
Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge. Document patient status, collect laboratory samples, and perform or assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, and participate in quality assessment activities and staff meetings. Maintain patient privacy and follow physician orders in accordance with hospital policies and CLIA regulations. Requires current state licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 2+ years of ER experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- ENPC certification from ENA (substitutes for PALS)
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
- Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date
- Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date
