Job Summary
Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room by applying advanced clinical nursing knowledge. Observe and record physiological signs, symptoms, and behaviors while maintaining patient privacy. Follow physician orders, collect laboratory samples adhering to CLIA regulations, and perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures. Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures and adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques. Document all interventions and outcomes accurately. Work nights (7pm-7am) in a 16-bed small-format hospital with 2+ years of ER experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in ER or other comparable experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- ENPC certification from ENA (substituted for PALS)
- Fluency in English
- Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years
- Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years
