ER Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care using the nursing process to monitor and evaluate patient status. Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care; document all steps with proper medical terminology; evaluate problems and progress toward goals; support discharge through referrals and education; collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals; participate in unit/hospital PI and educational activities; attend in-services and meet education standards; exercise independent judgment in planning and carrying out clinical tasks; work directly with patients, families, and internal team members.
