Job Summary
Emergency Department RN on a 13-week contract in Ithaca, NY. Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care. May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities during shifts, coordinating patient flow and staff assignments, and collaborating with EMS and interdisciplinary ED team. Deliver evidence-based care to patients with acute conditions; document care in the electronic medical record. 29 beds total with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4–5:1. Dedicated case manager, social worker, crisis evaluators, ED techs, and provider team. Accredited chest pain center and primary stroke center. Schedule includes Day, Evening, and Night shifts with 3×12-hour shifts per week; 13 weeks with high extension possibility. Compliance includes two Fridays before start, 10-panel drug screen, education verification, online modules, and badge photo. RN license in New York; BLS; ACLS; VISA: Not considered. Compensation USD 125,000 to 135,000.
Required Qualifications
- Active NY RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- BLS & ACLS required; TNCC, ENPC, PALS preferred
