Job Summary
Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients by processing orders and dispensing drugs according to established policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in departmental targeted clinical programs, facilitate the development and maintenance of clinical and distributive processes, and contribute to educational goals. Enhance pharmacy process performance and accuracy to promote patient safety while supporting distributive pharmacy services. Maintain preceptor licensure and ASHP-endorsed residency program preceptorship upon hire. Requires Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy licensure and a Pharm D or BS in Pharmacy. Weekday evening and night differentials apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy
- Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire
- Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required
- Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area
