Job Summary
Conduct all clinical and distributive pharmacy services to ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients. Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy programs that promote desirable patient outcomes across all age groups. Participate in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned and contribute to the educational goals of the department. Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to promote patient safety. Maintain preceptor licensure and ASHP-endorsed residency program preceptorship upon hire. Requires Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy licensure in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy
- Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire
- Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required
- Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area
