Job Summary
Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients while participating in all clinical pharmacy services and supporting distributive pharmacy operations. Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical and distributive processes to promote desirable patient outcomes through safe, cost-effective drug therapies for all age groups. Contribute to departmental educational goals and enhance pharmacy process performance and efficiency. Maintain preceptor license and ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship with the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy
- Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire
- Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required
- Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
- Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area
