Job Summary
Perform high-quality MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols. Prepare and position patients for exams while ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout the procedure. Review imaging requests for accuracy, monitor patients during scans, and respond appropriately to needs. Follow all MRI safety protocols, including thorough patient screening and equipment safety procedures. Demonstrate working knowledge of PACS, RIS, and EMR systems while checking equipment performance and reporting issues. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and coordinate routine quality assurance tasks. Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and fellow staff to support smooth departmental operations. Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, MRI certification, and BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging program
- Current ARRT certification
- MRI certification or eligibility to obtain
- Active licensure
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of MRI experience
- Experience in an outpatient imaging setting
