Job Summary
ER/ECC Veterinary Technician needed per diem at Animal Emergency & Specialty Center. Responsibilities include triaging emergency patients under the ER doctor, obtaining history and vitals, assisting DVMs with exams, treatments and procedures, responding to STAT calls, performing patient restraint, venipuncture, SQ fluids, radiographs, anesthesia, and maintaining paperless medical records (EzyVet, Smartflow). Communicate medical updates and treatment plans to owners, collaborate across departments, and contribute to department operations and patient care. Compensation is $25-$35 per hour based on experience; schedule is per hospital needs with training hours TBD. Per diem role located in Parker, CO, with on-site duties and no remote work indicated. Benefits package available per Ethos Veterinary Health program. Requires Colorado RVT registration or eligibility to register upon hire; high school diploma; English fluency; preferred experience in specialty/ER settings and proficiency with veterinary IT systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum ONE YEAR of veterinary technician experience
- Registered Veterinary Technician, in Colorado, or the ability to become registered upon hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; multilingual abilities a plus
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Specialty Hospital, preferably in an ER Dept.
- Ability to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.
- Excellent communication.
- Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
