Job Summary

Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, CRI management, medication administration, and feeding tube placement. Prepare and monitor patients undergoing surgical procedures while assisting veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and treatments. Perform laboratory diagnostics such as urinalysis, hematology, and cytology, and operate diagnostic equipment including radiology and ultrasound systems. Maintain accurate daily controlled drug logs, create treatment plans in the medical record system, and provide client education on preventative care and treatments. Ensure sterile conditions, monitor inventory levels, and maintain clean treatment areas. Work 24-hour emergency shifts with a pay range of $30-$35 per hour plus shift differential and holiday premium pay.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed/Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician credential
  • Demonstrated proficiency in anesthesia monitoring
  • Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
  • Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in radiology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in dentistry
  • Basic computer literacy
