Job Summary
Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, CRI management, medication administration, and ongoing monitoring. Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing surgical procedures while assisting veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and treatments. Perform laboratory diagnostics including urinalysis, hematology, and cytology; accurately document, interpret, and communicate results. Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment, including radiology and ultrasound systems, in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate daily controlled drug logs, create and enter treatment plans, and support hospital operations through medical recordkeeping and charge entry. Provide compassionate client education and maintain sterile conditions in treatment areas. Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock. Work 24-hour emergency shifts with evenings, overnights, weekends, or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed/Certified/Registered Veterinary Technician credential
- Demonstrated proficiency in anesthesia monitoring
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
- Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory procedures
- Demonstrated proficiency in radiology
- Demonstrated proficiency in dentistry
