Job Summary
Equity Trader role responsible for executing trades across fundamental, quantitative, and index strategies globally, collaborating with internal teams to enhance trading systems and analytics, and supporting portfolio management with market insights and data requests. The position emphasizes active day-to-day execution of the Fund’s equity exposures, relationship-building with external counterparties, brokers, and exchanges, and participation in projects related to system enhancements, trading analytics, back-testing, workflow improvements, and the development of AI-enabled tools to improve trading performance. Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, a self-starting attitude, and a genuine interest in market microstructure, execution quality, and equity trading. Preference for progress toward CFA designation; degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science; 0–3 years of experience; based in Toronto with exposure to North America, Latin America, and Asia markets. Required Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in trading, financial markets, or investment management
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Progress toward a professional designation such as the CFA is an asset
