Equity Research - Specialty & Consumer Finance - Associate

Job Summary
Equity Research Associate covering the Specialty & Consumer Finance sector. Conduct industry analysis and company coverage, including dissecting earnings releases and regulatory filings, forecasting with Excel-based models, detailed valuation work, and writing research notes and sector pieces. Build and maintain client-facing materials, prepare presentations, and communicate insights to internal and external clients and management teams. Collaborate with Sales and Trading to fulfill client requests for market updates and market intelligence. Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills, plus modeling, forecasting, and valuation experience; advanced Excel proficiency; and some coding capabilities (e.g., VBA, Python) are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- FINRA licenses Series 86 and Series 87
- Two to three years of experience in equity research and/or investment banking
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills
- modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience
- Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
- High level of organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Passion for the markets and interest in the Specialty & Consumer Finance sector.
