Job Summary
Equity Research Associate focusing on China Tech Hardware. Analyze industry trends, company fundamentals, and market dynamics; contribute to thematic/sector reports, write investment research, and support client communications. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality research insights, organizing fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings, communicating research ideas to internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to risk management policies and applicable regulations. Preferred candidates have data science/tech backgrounds, strong written/verbal communication, creativity in problem-solving, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Mandarin language skills are highly preferred and CFA progress is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in equity research, technology, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in technology, engineering, finance, or data science-related field
- Ability to independently arrange and conduct fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to write investment research reports
- Ability to build and maintain robust financial models (base and sensitivity)
- Progress toward CFA designation is a plus
- Mandarin language skills are highly preferred
