Equity Research Associate, Oil & Gas

Job Summary
Develop comprehensive company and industry-specific financial and operational models while maintaining and developing sector-specific databases. Compile and evaluate industry information to assist in generating research reports and comments. Provide analytical, quantitative, and administrative support to the analyst, including ad-hoc projects, presentations, and assignments. Liaise with sales, trading, and other firm areas while developing relationships with key personnel from covered companies. Requires an Honour's Bachelor's degree, six years of relevant experience, and advanced Excel, Bloomberg, and VBA skills. Full-time hybrid role in Toronto with competitive salary, annual bonus, and defined benefit pension.
Required Qualifications
- Honour's Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and creating financial models in Excel
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg in addition to sourcing data from the internet
- Knowledge of VBA or programming
