Job Summary
Conduct regular scientific and market due diligence on covered healthcare companies, including channel checks and surveys with key medical opinion leaders. Interpret scientific publications and conference presentations to inform investment theses, while building and maintaining detailed financial models and proprietary sector databases. Assist with the timely preparation and publication of research notes and reports, and interact with corporate management and the internal sales force. Support coverage spanning oncology, rare-disease, and technology-platform companies, providing general support to the broader equity research team on assigned special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Superb quantitative and analytical skills
- Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team, prioritizing daily workflow with little direction
- Advanced Excel skills
- Active FINRA Licenses including SIE, Series 86 & 87
- Ability to obtain FINRA Licenses including SIE, Series 86 & 87 within 120 days of start date
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD)
- Experience building financial models
