Job Summary
Associate in Equity Research covering Aerospace & Defense; build Excel-based models, conduct detailed valuation, analyze earnings releases, regulatory filings, and industry events to shape views; write research notes and sector pieces; prepare presentations; build relationships and communicate with internal and external clients and management teams; collaborate with Sales and Trading to fulfill client requests for market updates and market intelligence; requires FINRA Series 86 and 87, 2–3 years of equity research/investment banking experience, strong Excel, and passion for markets; CFA preferred; some coding capabilities (e.g., VBA, Python) considered a plus.
Required Qualifications
- FINRA licenses Series 86 and Series 87
- Two to three years of experience in equity research and/or investment banking
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills, as well as modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience
- Advanced level of proficiency in Excel
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
- High level of organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Passion for the markets and interest in Aerospace & Defense sector
- Some coding capabilities – e.g., VBA, Python
