Job Summary
Monitor regulatory changes and governance developments impacting equity compensation, including employment and tax law. Review current policies via benchmarking against peer practices to identify elements requiring changes, then develop detailed project plans to revise and enact proposed updates. Partner with HR management, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure revised plans satisfy design, administration, legal, and governance requirements while tracking plan compliance, burn rate, and inventory levels. Develop and maintain reporting, analytics, and governance materials for the Human Resources Committee and senior management, including share ownership reporting and forecasts. Serve as the primary point of contact for all equity policy queries and provide subject matter expertise to support internal partners in human resources and the bank.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in equity compensation policy or administration
- ideally within a publicly traded company
- demonstrated experience in managing the administration and/or design of equity compensation programs
- experience in plan reviews and implementation of changes
- project management
- interpretation of legal and governance requirements
- Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. rules and trends for equity-based compensation
- knowledge of legal requirements, plan design and governance trends
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills related to monitoring and reporting on equity pay plans and valuation
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, Law, or related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of European and U.K. equity compensation practices and rules
- CCP and related designations/certifications
