Job Summary
As a Research Associate on the Asia Solutions team, you’ll work to understand the fundamental drivers of markets and translate that understanding into systematic trading strategies and investment advice for clients. You’ll develop deep expertise in China’s onshore equities and Asian markets, produce in-depth research on publicly traded companies in China and Hong Kong, and help develop alpha strategies within a multi-asset macro portfolio. The role includes turning abstract market insights into concrete investment ideas, maintaining high intellectual rigor, and contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our systems. Proficiency in Mandarin, strong analytical and data-synthesis skills, and experience with Chinese accounting standards (CAS) and WIND are important, along with a willingness to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team environment. The anticipated onsite requirement is four days per week at the New York City campus, with compensation in the range of $150,000–$300,000 base salary plus discretionary target bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in markets / investing, quantitative analysis, etc
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
- Strong familiarity with Chinese accounting standards (CAS) and experience in using WIND
- High integrity and Bridgewater culture fit
