Job Summary
Equities Product Control Associate based in London responsible for delivering timely and accurate P&L, balance sheet, and close processes for the equities product line. Partners with trading desks and controllers to ensure data integrity, strengthen controls, and translate results into clear narratives for senior leaders. Responsibilities include daily P&L preparation, month-end close support, cross-functional coordination to resolve reporting and control issues, and driving process improvements and automation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related discipline, strong Excel and financial reporting tool skills, and hands-on experience with P&L reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and securities-financing transactions; familiarity with Alteryx or Python for data transformation and automation; and the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders. London-based, full-time role with a focus on robust reporting, controls design, and cross-team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in product control, financial control, accounting, audit, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with profit and loss reporting and month-end close processes
- Familiarity with balance sheet substantiation and variance analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Understanding of financial products across asset classes
- Working knowledge of Alteryx or Python for data transformation and automation
- Experience researching and explaining securities financing transactions
- Exposure to control design, testing, and remediation
- Experience with visualization tools to develop management metrics and commentary
- Process improvement or operational excellence experience (e.g., automation, standardization)
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and control focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships across teams
