Equipment Technician

Job Summary
Install and set up plumbing and water treatment equipment at customer sites, calibrate control systems, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Prime chemical pumps, perform dosing and testing, and start up systems while teaching client teams how to operate them effectively. Document service visits in the company system and submit reports to customers and management via email. Coordinate with regional teams to share knowledge on equipment changes and system operations, and suggest improvements based on field feedback. Support other technicians with technical needs and assist with training, while adhering to all safety policies and guidelines. Travel to client locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., northern Virginia, and parts of New York to provide hands-on assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of experience in plumbing, maintenance, general repair, or other similar work
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness and ability to travel within Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., northern Virginia, and parts of New York to provide service at various customer sites (occasional overnight travel, less than 5%)
- Comfortable with basic computer use, including Microsoft Office tools
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Able to work independently and with minimal managerial oversight
- Willing to work in environments that may be noisy or not air-conditioned
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring
- Familiarity with water treatment systems, equipment and testing
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
