Job Summary
Entry-level Calibration/Equipment Technician I at Confluent Medical Technologies. Responsible for calibration, inspection, repair, and operation of lab and manufacturing equipment, supporting production planning and inventory control, and driving continuous improvement within GMP-compliant medical device manufacturing. Requires a high school diploma and technical education with 0-1 year of related experience; strong documentation, math, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Technical education degree
- 0-1 year of related experience or training
- Ability to use test and measurement equipment related to a discipline
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Ability to complete company/department training in manufacturing techniques
- Ability to learn GMP regulatory requirements
- Ability to learn to use PC and related software
- Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; integers, fractions, decimals)
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and to read/draw bar graphs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with calibration of laboratory or manufacturing equipment
- Experience with technical documentation and SOPs
- Experience in a regulated environment (GMP)
- Knowledge of metrology and calibration principles
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation issues
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with calibration software or data logging tools
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Ability to operate in a cross-functional team environment

- Local work authorization in Costa Rica required
