Job Summary
Equipment Tech responsible for maintaining and executing the high-speed compressor maintenance program to ensure uptime and reliability in the ORCM Reliability and Maintenance Group. Core duties include maintaining environmental, health, and safety standards; ensuring compliance with policy and procedure expectations (MOC’s, PSSR’s, Procedures, Audits, etc.); executing high-speed compressor maintenance, managing tools and parts inventory, and handling work-order backlogs to maximize compressor uptime. Provide technical expertise to reduce costs and improve process uptime, support compression surveillance to maximize throughput, and coordinate with contract resources as needed. Must be able to travel within the facility, operate safely in potentially hazardous environments, and possess experience with rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, VRUs), electrical and automation troubleshooting, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office. The role requires strong teamwork and communication skills and a High School diploma or GED. Recruitment fraud information is included in the posting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Minimum of 1-3 years industrial maintenance experience in maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (e.g. Pumps, Compressors, VRUs)
- Experience in maintaining and repairing of high-speed compressors and engines in the horsepower range of 500 to 2500 HP (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of oil and gas industry surface equipment types and applications
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause failure analysis
- Capable of basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical equipment
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office software (preferred)
