Equipment Technician (AMHS-Automated Material Handling System) (Manassas)

Job Summary
Monitor equipment performance, perform error recovery, and conduct repairs on mechatronic systems including overhead transport and wafer handling units. Fix and repair AC/DC circuits using DMMs and schematics, then analyze operations by dismantling, adjusting, and reassembling equipment based on blueprints. Apply mechanical, electronic, and software skills to address issues while reviewing tool performance data and implementing preventative maintenance. Collaborate with engineers and vendors to ensure optimal tool functionality, utilizing Microsoft Office tools to document work and manage tasks. Navigate complex problem-solving scenarios by prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanroom protocols and following established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), and overtime as needed to support business operations
- Maintain compliance with cleanroom protocols by consistently wearing fab-specific garments to prevent product contamination and occasionally appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, and hard hats as the need arises
- 2+ years' experience AC/DC circuits, including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in relevant technical fields such as Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics
- 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience
- 2+ years' experience in leading projects related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and improvement, with a focus on meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- Experience and/or curiosity about developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes
