Job Summary
Equipment Tech duties include maintaining a safe hospital environment per OSHA, JC, Board of Health and hospital standards; ensuring compliant storage and handling of equipment; reporting non-functioning equipment; managing assessment devices (thermometers, BP machines, glucose meters, pulse oximeters); maintaining weekly Joint Commission checklists; maintaining supplies and inventory, including stock par levels and orderly storage; coordinating equipment repairs with Clinical Engineering and orienting new staff in equipment care; acting as liaison to Clinical Engineering, Plant Engineering, and Storeroom; assisting with environmental and equipment needs and performing additional tasks as requested by leadership.
