Job Summary
Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance on plant and mobile machinery. Execute preventative maintenance, general mechanical work, and housekeeping around the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment. Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations while actively promoting safety awareness and continuous improvement. Utilize skills in welding, cutting, and fabrication as assigned. Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators. Work in varied outdoor environments including all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
- Positive, Team-based attitude
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Min 2 years' experience
- Additional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc
- Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge of mining equipment including conveyors, screening plants, dredges, mobile equipment, etc
