Job Summary
Lead and direct all dish room, liquor/beverage process employees across dish/EPA, pre-load, liquor/beverage, and transportation areas to ensure timely completion of catering activities. Maintain quality production standards, safety, and compliance with airline specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Prepare management reports on attendance, HACCP, and labor; conduct inventory of products and customer materials; and manage work flow balancing among up to 75 employees. Train staff on proper procedures, coach employees, and prepare corrective actions in compliance with union agreements. Monitor daily temperature logs, ensure preventive maintenance of machinery, control food and labor costs, and determine staffing needs for shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years supervisory experience working in a high volume, manufacturing, food production, and restaurant or catering environment
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ hourly employees
- Ability to train others
- Ability to give negative and positive feedback to employees on a daily basis
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to be innovative and make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish
