Job Summary
Equipment Specialist – Cranes based in Minneapolis oversees crane fleet deployment, maintenance, and asset tracking, serving as the subject-matter expert for crane-related issues. Role involves regular travel to project sites and vendor locations (25-50%), hands-on inspection and coordination of maintenance, tracking of certifications and repairs, vendor coordination for parts and replacements, contract drafting, and collaboration with project teams to ensure crane availability and reliability for schedules. Requires strong attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and ability to navigate purchasing/rental processes; in-office role with travel. Visa sponsorship not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree and 1+ years of rental equipment, construction, and/or related professional experience OR 2+ years of the same relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills
- Ability to assess and prioritize multiple customer needs
- Working knowledge of purchasing/rental processes and procedures
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Ability to influence
- Active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel 25-50% to jobsites and vendor locations
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Experience with billing software (preferred)
