Job Summary
Equipment Specialist responsible for repairs and maintenance of an automated specimen handling system (Autoline) and the Siemens LabCell system, plus duties across specimen logistics (receiving, sorting, packaging, delivering to testing areas) and related clerical tasks. Key activities include diagnostic troubleshooting, coordination with external vendors, entering patient information into the system, packaging specimens for referral labs, and ensuring safety and compliance. The role trains and orients team members, supports workflow improvements, and participates in team activities while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to lab safety/WHMIS/TDG policies. Must have high school grad and an equipment repair diploma or equivalent experience, with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system understanding, and experience with PC-based systems; TDG/WHMIS certification and safety training are required or expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduation

- laboratory or medical background (MOA, MLA, or College/University Science programs)
- 30 wpm typing skills
