Job Summary
Equipment Services Technician to support The Pond Guy/Airmax field service team by installing, maintaining, and repairing fountain and aeration systems; complete service calls and install complete systems; coordinate daily service routes; communicate with clients about pond status and service issues; document work orders and inventory; stay current on industry standards; cross-train across service-related roles; follow safety procedures; interact professionally with customers in the field; requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and customer-focused mindset; must have HS diploma and a valid MI driver’s license; heavy-lifting and physical requirements apply in both office and field settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of technical and mechanical maintenance experience
- 2-3 years of customer service experience recommended; sales experience is a plus
- Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge; experience with high-voltage systems is a plus
- Proficient computer skills; service software experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive a truck and trailer after training
- Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus
- Cross-train on pond management; obtaining state certification as a chemical applicator
- Ability to swim; physical dexterity to handle weights; ability to work in adverse weather
- Availability: 40-50 hours/week during peak season; otherwise Monday-Friday
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- HS diploma required
