Job Summary
The Equipment & Service Install Technician independently installs, services, troubleshoots, and repairs lubrication, automotive service, and fluid handling equipment across customer locations. Partners with customers to diagnose equipment concerns, complete complex installations, and deliver responsive technical support while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills to support operational reliability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include installing and commissioning vehicle lifts, fluid dispensing systems, pumps, tanks, reels, and related equipment; diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues with minimal supervision; performing preventative maintenance inspections; traveling to customer locations to respond to service calls and support installation projects; reading schematics, blueprints, and installation specifications; documenting repairs and service updates; maintaining inventory and tools; training less experienced technicians; coordinating with leadership to prioritize customer needs; ensuring safety and environmental compliance; participating in ongoing training and supplier certifications; travel overnight greater than 20% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, equipment installation, or related technical field
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Technical degree or trade certification
- Experience with vehicle lifts, lubrication systems, or industrial fluid handling systems
- Experience mentoring or training teammates in field service environments
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to travel overnight greater than 20% as business needs require
