Job Summary
Equipment Service and Die Service Technician Co-op/Intern positions at Honda for Spring 2027, focusing on safety procedures, root-cause and countermeasure analysis, preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance and repair activities, and supporting production downtime response. Roles involve working alongside a maintenance technician mentor across multiple areas (building maintenance, weld, paint, stamping, facilities) with opportunities to engage in electrical, mechanical, welding, AutoCAD design, PLCs, servo systems, robotics, and industrial technology tasks. Applicants must be enrolled in an associate degree or certificate program in relevant engineering/maintenance fields, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, be able to commit to at least 10 weeks, and be able to work at least 4 hours per day, 3 days per week, on-site at listed Honda locations. Sponsorship for employment visa status is unavailable. Housing support may be provided, and the program aims to be a pipeline for full-time opportunities. Hourly wage range: $23.22-$31.47.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must have basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial safety and understanding of industrial math
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written format
- Degree program: enrolled in an associate degree or certificate program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Multicraft Industrial Technology, Welding, or related field
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
- Class Status: Freshman or above
- Term: Minimum of 10 weeks required
- Shift/Hours: Minimum three days per week and at least four hours per day
- Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered)
- Ability to secure own transportation to and from work
- Public transportation and ride share considerations depend on location
- Overtime availability (paid at 1.5x)
