Job Summary
Equipment Sanitation- 12 Hour Days (6:00am - 6:30pm) role involving cleaning equipment and machinery to align with the production schedule and approved health/sanitation practices. In the Fairport facility, responsibilities include cleaning circuits, setup, and performing pipe swings; check chlorine levels at coolers; cream tank receiving, maintenance, and cleaning; maintain chemical equipment and deliver chemicals; clean drains, traps, and caps; perform standardized cleaning with caustic and other cleaners; assist with changeovers of parts; inspect areas to ensure AIB standards are met and report concerns; complete MSS in Redzone; work safely per company rules; and report food safety and quality problems. Requires High School Diploma or GED; LO/TO, HAACP, HECP and chemical training; PPE competency; ability to wear PPE and additional PPE for CIP; and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- LO/TO, HAACP, HECP and chemical training required
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots
- Ability to wear additional PPE while participating in CIP (chemical suits and boots and face shield)
- Previous experience working with chemicals preferred
- Ability to apply computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
