Job Summary
Conduct field demos, events, and customer education for construction equipment, agricultural tractors, and lawn tools. Independently manage the sales process, respond to online leads, and maintain current product knowledge, financing options, and used equipment values to assist customers with purchases and trades. Monitor competitive activity and consumer trends, reporting findings to management while maintaining all customer information for sales management. Follow a defined sales process and attend ongoing training as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a self-starter with an outgoing, friendly personality and have the ability to generate goodwill outside the company and within.
- A positive 'can-do' attitude is a must.
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment offered for sale by the dealership.
- Is familiar with machinery operations and instructs customers as necessary.
- Independently manages the sales process for each sales opportunity.
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
- Attends ongoing training as required by Kingline Equipment.
- At least three years of experience and knowledge of agricultural and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of social media and responding to online leads.
- Ability to use standard desktop applications.
- Ability to learn industry-specific computer programs and applications.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to pull trailers safely.
- Must be able to sit and work on a computer.
- Must be able to bend, twist, lift, etc. in order to demonstrate various parts of the equipment as needed.
- Must be able to stand for periods of time at expos, demonstrations, etc.
- Must be flexible regarding schedules and willing to work additional hours when the season demands it.
