Equipment Repair Technician

Job Summary
Clean, test, and troubleshoot inbound and outbound rental units using power washers, hydro testing equipment, and various hand and power tools. Inspect products for damage, assemble components, and perform routine preventative maintenance to keep equipment in top operational order. Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of rental units and controls while tracking inventory and preparing documentation. Assist salespeople with field requirements, including new and old system troubleshooting, and travel to customer locations for on-site services. Comply with all safety procedures, ISO quality standards, and company policies while maintaining a clean work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, utilize elevator
- Overtime required at periodic intervals
- Able and willing to drive company van and truck (non-CDL) to client sites and vendor locations
Desired Qualifications
- At least three years of related manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of pumps, motors and valves
- One-year mechanical experience with pumps, motors, valves, and fluid dynamics
- One-year experience within the Oil, Fuel, Fluid Power Industries
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and usage
- Ability to use a wide variety of power and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects, and tasks
- Flexible to travel and visit customer locations for on-site services
- Understand basic hydraulics and lubrication fundamentals
- Operate the equipment effectively with little or no supervision
