Job Summary
Prepare detailed quotations for chemical processing equipment, including pumps, tanks, mixers, filtration systems, and custom-engineered solutions. Interpret customer specifications, P&IDs, and RFQs to determine appropriate equipment selections, calculate pricing and lead times, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and vendors to validate configurations and provide technical guidance on materials of construction and chemical compatibility. Serve as the primary point of contact for quote inquiries, manage vendor documentation, and maintain accurate records in CRM and ERP systems. Support continuous improvement of quoting workflows. This role bridges technical expertise with customer-facing communication to ensure proposals meet operational, safety, and regulatory needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with chemical processing equipment, industrial equipment sales, or technical quoting
- Strong understanding of chemical compatibility, materials of construction, and process equipment fundamentals
- Knowledge of corrosion-resistant materials, polymers, and specialty alloys
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Occasional customer site visits or vendor facility visits
