Job Summary
Operate quarry equipment and support production and maintenance responsibilities; maintain a safe work environment, follow Environmental Health & Safety policies, and participate in safety initiatives. Train and coach other employees as needed, keep work areas clean and organized, communicate effectively with staff, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies. Demonstrate ability to work independently within a team, understand equipment functions, and operate mine machinery such as haul trucks and loaders. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with internal controls, and collaboration to ensure efficient operations while occasionally requiring overtime and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math, reading and writing skills (English) required
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE
- Welding, cutting and mechanical skills desired
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous surface mining experience preferred but not required
- Welding, cutting, and mechanical skills are desired
