Equipment Planner

Job Summary
Design and implement production equipment and/or processes and integrate them into plant production sequences; coordinate procurement and development of equipment across technology groups, and serve as the bridge between suppliers and plant teams. Lead requirement manuals for technologies and tooling, oversee RFQ processes, ensure timing plans align with project schedules, and manage documentation in the PLM system. Collaborate with process planners to ensure machine layouts fit within production cells, track equipment/tool deployment and provide technical release for production; ensure spare parts lists and training definitions are provided in collaboration with suppliers. Act as liaison with suppliers and internal experts to assess feasibility and ensure machine capability studies are completed; monitor equipment delivery and engage in engineering change requests as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years Automotive Industry experience
- 1 to 2 years of Project Management skills
- Engineering Disciplined
- Good technical knowledge of lean manufacturing, planning and layouts, and continuous improvement tools.
