Job Summary
Equipment Operator – Utility role supporting HDD operations in Central Iowa. Responsibilities include planning and executing bore rig setups, operating HDD drilling equipment (Vermeer, Ditch Witch), locating with equipment, maintaining and transporting equipment, setting up traffic control, performing job hazard analyses, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Requires 2+ years HDD locator/drill operator experience (preferred), valid Class A CDL (company may assist to obtain CDL), ability to operate heavy equipment, strong safety mindset, and effective teamwork and communication in a fast-paced field environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of HDD Locator and/or Drill Operator experience preferred
- Valid Class A CDL
- Ability to safely operate HDD equipment and tooling
- Strong understanding of underground utility locating and excavation practices
