Job Summary
The Equipment Operator will safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse, load and unload delivery trucks, and assist with inventory control using handheld devices and warehouse management systems. Responsibilities include conducting regular equipment inspections, adhering to safety guidelines, transporting materials to designated storage areas, coordinating with management to resolve issues such as damage or shortages, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and performing other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior forklift/relevant equipment experience, forklift certification or willingness to obtain it, familiarity with WMS, strong communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers is required
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through company training
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and equipment safety
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory tracking software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task completion
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as needed
