Job Summary
Operate mini excavators, skid steers, and Digger Derek equipment while ensuring safe, secure machine management and performing periodic safety maintenance checks. Execute site underground tasks including trenching, excavation, lifting, and road work, while verifying locates are current before starting. Coordinate with road and transport systems to minimize activity disruptions and maintain proper cooperation with the site superintendent. Complete daily pre-job safety plans and adhere strictly to safety policies, PPE requirements, and traffic laws. Report major repair issues to management or repairmen.
Required Qualifications

- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
- PPE required for all duties
- Must be comfortable with operating a mini excavator, skid steer and Digger Derek
- Ensure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way
- Ensure locates are done and up to date prior to performing work
- Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment
- Perform minor repair works during functioning problems
- Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance
- Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc
- Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted
- Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic laws
- Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
- Report to the Site Superintendent
- OSHA 10 required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience desired but not required
- Class A, CDL drivers license preferred but not required
- Operator card preferred but not required
