Job Summary
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment, including Liebherr or Sennebogen material handlers and Volvo front end loaders, to manage scrap metal and materials in a recycling yard. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, checking equipment condition, determining load weights, aiding yard organization, and complying with safety regulations. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to carry out instructions provided in written or oral form.
- Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 years’ experience running Volvo front end loaders and/or Liebherr or Sennebogen material handlers in the scrap metal, waste, or demolition industries preferred.
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
