Equipment Operator - Roadbuilding and Reclamation

Job Summary
Operate excavators (20–80 ton) and dozers (D6–D10), alongside graders, water trucks, and roller packers, to perform excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and earthmoving activities. Set up dumps for optimal cycle times, windrows, striping, and separating organized materials for loading units. Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities while collaborating with crew members to meet production and quality targets. Adhere to Ledcor and project safety policies, procedures, and site requirements. Work 12-hour days on a 14-on/7-off rotation in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience operating dozers, excavators and other equipment
- Must be available for day / night shifts
- Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Valid driver's license
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification CSTS 09, Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in road building, reclamation work or mining
- Experience using GPS machine control systems
- Fine grading experience
