Job Summary

Conduct daily equipment inspections, report mechanical issues to maintenance, and maintain battery levels by checking water and connecting to charging stations. Unload inbound shipments safely, stack merchandise in appropriate areas, and pull product for picking and shipping while ensuring exact counts. Operate RF scanners 90% of the time, move levers and pedals to drive trucks and control lifting apparatus, and transport loads to designated areas. Keep records to guarantee inventory control and security, and follow safety rules compliant with OSHA Standards. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with occasional Saturdays and early morning starts.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior equipment operating experience
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours in a day
  • Must be able to walk up to an hour
  • No fear of heights
  • Ability to climb and push/pull from 11-25 pounds
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds
  • Ability to frequently carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to have repetitive foot movement
  • Ability to have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation
  • Specific vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to regularly stand
  • Ability to use hand to finger, handle or feel objects
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to wear gloves occasionally
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area circumference and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
