Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and zoom booms for rock drilling, trenching, and site preparation in challenging ground conditions. Perform general labour duties such as hand digging, pole setting, conductor stringing, underground utility installation, grading, and cleanup. Conduct pre-trip and routine equipment inspections while adhering to all safety policies and participating in daily safety meetings. Work closely with crew members to meet production targets across various sites in Saskatchewan. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and involves travel to multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy equipment in construction or utility environments
- Experience with rock drilling or working in rocky terrain
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
- Travel to various sites
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Class 1A or 3A driver's license
- CSTS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance, or other safety certifications
- Experience working around live utilities
