Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment to support compost and transfer station operations, including front-end loaders, excavators, grinders, screens, and forklifts; perform daily inspections and maintenance reporting; monitor compost quality and system performance; load materials; move and sort materials on the tipping floor; direct traffic as needed; maintain a clean, safe, inspection-ready yard and work outdoors in an industrial setting. Emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on equipment handling; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Shift is PM with a flexible schedule; high school diploma or GED required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, excavators, or similar)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with equipment inspections
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
