Job Summary
Safely operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders, dozers, haul trucks, and excavators while supporting daily production and maintaining equipment in peak operating condition. Perform daily equipment inspections, routine preventive maintenance, and identify issues to minimize downtime. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust, while following all company safety policies and procedures. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to adapt to changing operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy construction equipment
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and preventive maintenance
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures and operating instructions
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as business demands
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Safely enter, exit, and operate heavy equipment
- Work safely in a physically demanding industrial environment
Desired Qualifications
- One to two years of preventive maintenance and lubrication experience is preferred
- Previous mining or quarry experience is a plus
