Job Summary
Equipment Operator responsible for operating complex construction and right-of-way equipment to perform road and right-of-way maintenance, traffic control duties, and routine equipment upkeep. Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, loaders, water trucks, dozers, graders, backhoes, and other listed equipment; performing traffic control at road construction sites; conducting routine preventive maintenance on equipment; demolishing concrete/asphalt where directed; assisting with pipe placement, grading, and backfill, and performing entailed tasks such as locating pipes, setting grades, and pouring concrete. Requires adherence to DOT/department testing policies, ability to work on 24-hour call-out status, and readiness for potential safety-related duties, with certifications and endorsements obtainable after hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Colorado Commercial Driver's License -- Tanker Endorsement (endorsement can be obtained after hire)
- State Flagger Certification (can be attained after hire)
- Brake Certification (can be attained after hire)
- Ability and knowledge to fill portable propane tanks from propane filling station
